The Abanca accounts include a result of the exercise of Nueva Pescanova at the end of 2022 with losses of almost 60.5 million euros.

In any case, this figure corresponds to the first nine months of the company’s fiscal year, since this runs from March to March.

Abanca sent this Monday to the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV) its audited consolidated annual accounts for the year 2022.

In June 2021, the financial institution acquired a package of shares of a 0.28% stake in the company and came to control 97.76% of Nueva Pescanova.

On the date of formulation of these accounts, it indicates that it is in an “active” negotiation process for the entry of a new partner.

Five days ago, the bank confirmed that it had reached an agreement to enter into a phase of exclusive negotiations with the Canadian group Cooke for the sale of 80% of the bank’s total stake in Nueva Pescanova.
