The Government will dedicate 200 million euros to train 80,000 professionals in AI and digital competences

Red.es This has announced the start -up of a new training program in digital competences for professional associations that will begin in the last four -month period of the year. This initiative has a Budget of 200 million euros and seeks to train up to 80,000 professionals throughout the country, who will obtain a Professional Digital Competencies Certificate aligned with the European frame Digcomp 2.2. The objective is to modernize Spanish professional fabric and improve its competitiveness in an increasingly digitized environment and in which artificial intelligence has a growing weight.

An investment of 200 million euros

With a budget of 200 million euros, this plan is part of the generation D initiative and is financed by the recovery, transformation and resilience plan through the Next Generation EU funds. Training is aimed at Collegiate professionals from strategic sectors such as the health, legal, economic, social, engineering and architecture. Each course will have a total duration of 150 hoursdistributed in two blocks:

Common block (40 hours): Transversal training in digital competences, including areas such as data processing, information and security management.
Specific block (110 hours): Contents adapted to each sector, with direct application in professional practice. This part will be managed by the General Councils and Professional Associations attached to the program.

Registration will open in the Second half of September. Until then, Professional Union, the Association that groups the General Councils and Professional Schools of state in Spain, has enabled a form so that interested persons can receive information and be prepared for the official registration.

The generation D strategy

The generation D initiative, led by the Government of Spain, seeks to train citizens in digital competences for both daily life and employment. Within this framework, Red.es develops several lines of action, such as training in digital competences for professional associations, basic training for older people, with disabilities, in a situation of vulnerability or without digital knowledge or the promotion of research in AI and digital transformation into science.

With this investment, the Government intends that the digital progress reach all levels of professional and social fabric, ensuring that the Technological transformation It translates into better services for citizenship and greater competitiveness for the country.
