Last minute: Ukraine stops the Air Force officer for spying Western combat planes
The Ukraine Security Agency (SBU) stops an Air Force officer for spying for Russia. According to the authorities, the suspect, a major and flight instructor, would have leaked information on Western combat aircraft such as F-16 (USA), Mirage 2000 (France) and SU-24 (Soviet model). The leaked information includes airfield coordinates, take -off schedules and combat tactics, which would have facilitated Russian air attacks. He would also have shared data on Ukrainian military personnel with Russian intelligence. The espionage had as its main objective the bases where the F-16 recently delivered to Ukraine are deployed.
