President Trump has affirmed that, if this measure had not been taken, the protests could have resulted in an insurrection. “Last night there have been numerous damage. I have observed it very closely and the performance of the National Guard has been impressive,” he said in an investment event in America.
In addition, he has rejected the previous accusations of the governor of California, Gavin Newsom, who has questioned the decision to send troops to Los Angeles. Trump has pointed out that he has not intended to cause a civil conflict and has described Newsom as an “incompetent governor who has been harming one of the most important states in the country.”
