Acave, Fetave and Unav request that Vueling eliminate the surcharge for API and NDC reservations

BARCELONA, 16 (EUROPA PRESS)

The Corporate Association of Specialized Travel Agencies (Acave), the Territorial Business Federation of Spanish Travel Agencies (Fetave) and the National Union of Travel Agencies (Unav) have asked Vueling to eliminate the “totally unjustified” surcharge that applies to reservations made through API and NDC connections.

As reported by the entities on Tuesday in a joint statement, this surcharge “continues to imply a limitation of competition and constitutes a violation of current regulations.”

And they have highlighted that “many travel agencies have made important technological developments at their own expense to carry out these API and NDC connections, being totally incomprehensible and unjustified that surcharges are now applied to these reservations that do not imply any additional cost for The airline”.
