Volotea signs with Iberia the maintenance of the Airbus A320 until 2028


Volotea has closed a contract with Iberia Maintenance to carry out ‘C check’ reviews of the Airbus A320, in Iberia’s Madrid and Barcelona hangars and for the next five and a half years.

The reviews will be carried out during the winter seasons, as indicated by both companies, and the agreement will take effect in January 2023.

The airline indicates that it has selected Iberia Maintenance after carrying out a bidding process, in which the Spanish airline’s MRO business has been the winner “due to the excellent quality of its services”. The contract contemplates the performance of ‘C check”’ at the Iberia Maintenance facilities located in Madrid and Barcelona, ​​and reinforces Volotea’s commitment to the Spanish aeronautical industry.

Said revisions consist of the inspection, revision, conservation and replacement of aircraft parts, and include preventive maintenance and must be carried out every 14-16 months. Iberia Maintenance has six hangars with 16 positions and the necessary workshops to carry out maintenance services and all the management and logistics of the necessary materials for the revision of the A320 aircraft and the engines with which they are equipped.
