PALENCIA, 4 (EUROPE PRESS)
The Minister of Agriculture, Livestock and Rural Development of the Junta de Castilla y León, Gerardo Dueñas, has asked Siro this Saturday in Palencia for a “last effort” to improve the conditions for workers and avoid a stoppage in the production of the plants of the region.
Dueñas, who has participated in the inauguration of the Churra Fair in the Provincial Cultural Center of the Palencia capital, has stressed that “now the collaboration link between the company and the workers is key” after the announcement this Friday of the withdrawal of the fund investment.
“I ask for a last effort to improve a little the conditions that had been proposed to the workers that allow them to accept the plan and from that moment to return again to try to get the fund to return”, at which time the administrations will support that initiative.
The counselor has stated that the Board has thought to put “financial aid on the table” but that these are subject to the viability of the company, which in turn goes through the return of the investment fund and the workers accept the plan.
